Benefits of Zinga
Galvanising made easy
Zinga is a one-component cold applied zinc coating. Its unique formula provides environmentally safe cathodic protection to steel comparable with hot-dip galvanising or zinc thermal spraying, with the added advantage that this sheet anode can be applied as though it were a paint.
It can be used as a duplex system or as a single system that is reloadable.
Stone-proof – chip proof –generates its own voltage – flexible – long lasting – reloadable if left un-topcoated – road salt protection - can be used in tandem with fitted electrical CP system
Zinga is Approved by Land Rover and BBA
After many months of testing Zinga has finally been approved for use by Land Rover and has been awarded Part No. 11001-11002-11010-11025. The tests included resistance to humidity, salt immersion, chipping and exposure to fuel oil etc. It also has a BBA certificate No 03/4047
Zinga has been classified by the US Army under the Military Specification Number (MSN) MIL-P-210 35. This classification is based on the test report issued by the University of Gent, Belgium, on 21/10/86, concerning the galvanic protection offered by Zinga on top of hot-dip galvanisation. The MSN MIL-P-210 35 concerns high quality zinc dust for paints that are used for the repair of galvanisation by hot-dip.
The “Corrosion Prevention and Control Update”, issued in 1997, describes the US Army research to reduce the costs spent on anti-corrosion protection with 30%.
Surfaces need to be prepared to SA 2.5 for best results.
